friday dance

Needs better accessorizing, but love this $20 club monaco sequin skirt. Will be taking it on vacation with me. Can we all do a dance that it's Friday AND that spring is approaching AND that we can hopefully wear skirts again in a months time.

What do you think? I'm not sure the lacey cropped leggings are a good choice because they make legs looks short, but just playing around. The pants were a size too big, but I might prefer them slouchy like that with a tighter top an for $25 can't go wrong...

Just as much as I love new clothing, I love new home accessories, too. And the latest, and only, additions to my small NY place are candles if you couldn't tell. I have them everywhere... along the windows, on the tables... I love the look of mercury glass lit candles every night.

Alejandra has the best sense of style. She can be seen on www.youtube.com/fordmodels. Not only has she become a good friend of mine, but I always want to see what she will show up wearing. Must be nice to have long legs, but even if she was a petite like me I think she'd still find ways to optimize a great look.

saturday night party

I had been long for a long sleeved, one shoulder dress for a while now, and found it on sale by grey ant from online store, singer22, a month ago. It was a size large, which ended up working really well, making it slouchy and drapy rather than tight and miniature. Although I need a tan, it was the perfect party dress. Made it pop a little by adding lime green manolos, second hand find.

wild for zebra

Tonight I will be going to a charity event for the Youth Renewal Fund (YRF) to help fight illiteracy in Israeli society. Wrap dresses are the perfect outfit for work to night... Later I can remove the tights and the tank top and have an evening look. DVF did this short wrap dress last year in zebra print for an updated take on her classic dress.

Love stripes of all kind, all year round. Didn't realize that the shirt underneath would pop up so much in the picture. Also a big fan of layering, the more the better! Pretty soon it's going to be too warm in NYC for sweaters...

It's always tough to stay inspired in the middle of the week. The beginning of the week you are fresh and have had time to think about great outfits over the weekend. Wednesday you just want to be comfortable.
